[Armin's voice becomes very soft. He reaches up to thumb away the tears on Eren's cheeks.]
I won't leave you...[Isn't that what started this whole thing anyway?]
You're...you're right.
[He takes a deep breath, tries to inflate his chest as much as possible. Then, he breathes it out. it's a feeble attempt at trying to look, or sound, or maybe even feel brave, but...it doesn't quite land on any of those fronts. Still...]
We'll find a way to win. Both of us. We will, we...we have to...

His green eyes are determined, blazing with that spark that borders on mania or madness at times. ]
We'll kill everyone if that's what we have to do.
[ He doesn't really just mean in the arena, but details, right? ]
What do we do now?
[ Determined, but uncertain, he looks down at Armin, searching. Eren isn't a planner. He's sure he can murder a few people if it comes to it, but Armin is the thinker. He must have some idea of how to strategise. There's all the stuff before the Games and everything, but Eren isn't even thinking of that.
All he can think of is blood and death and winning and coming home. Together, somehow. ]

[Armin takes a deep breath. Whether or not he wants to - whether or not he likes it - it's time to start steeling himself. He'll have to if he wants to survive; for Eren, he needs to survive...
[And he needs to think.]
There are preparations before the games. That includes training - at least, some - if I'm not mistaken...
I need to find a weapon I can learn and learn quickly. That will be key...[As much as he hates - hates - to admit that...]
We'll learn more - not much more, but more - during this period of preparation.
We need to pay attention to everything - the other players, anything and everything we learn about the games, how to get sponsors, how to appeal to the viewers--
[Something clicks.]
Eren, that's the key. You've seen yourself what a difference sponsors can make. There will be an interview portion preceding the games. We need to make an impression - both of us.
[Eren, who is both the most and least charismatic person Armin's ever met, somehow.]
Whatever we can do to appeal to our audience, that's what we have to do. That's what we have to do to win.

They just need more information on what actually happens. Some of the before stuff is a mystery. There's training of some kind, though training in the actual Districts has always been forbidden. 1 and 2 don't care; the career tributes there definitely come in with training.
Eren knows a little about how to use a knife, but nothing formal enough. Is that the kind of weapon he should pick? That's pretty personal; you have to get close to someone to kill them with a knife. Well, it's not like he cares all that much. Other people don't matter in this equation, even if they're only kids.
The only thing that matters is not letting Armin die. That's it. That's all there can be. ]
W-wait, we have to appeal to our audience? How the hell are we gonna do that?
[ Eren is self-aware enough to know he's not exactly the most personable or inspiring person alive. He doesn't realise that sometimes he is both of those things, not really. ]
They dress us up and parade us around, but District 12 doesn't do so hot with sponsors. You know that.
[ He has a feeling Armin will do fine at the interview stuff. He has a good idea of how to get into other people's heads and say what they want to hear. Eren is just Eren; he says whatever he means at the time. ]
