It's a strange, long package he has. Weirdly sword-shaped. He's been working on the present in secret for a while now.

I'll spar with you. I'm not all that good with a sword but I can manage. You'll probably kick my ass the first few times.
[ Eren is at least somewhat self-aware and unlike that thing with Reiner at the beach, he doesn't feel the need to make it a challenge. He'd really thought he could win that water joust. He knows better with a sword, especially since Jean has had years to get used to using one and he hasn't. ]
